SellmyTimeShare - Sell Your Time Share
Let me first tell you that I know how you feel. I am in the same situation
where I have a timeshare that I really don't want and I need a way to get rid
of it. Let me tell you though that I not only have one timeshare that I don't
want, I have two of them. Yes, I was stupid enough to fall for the timeshare
pitch twice in my life (three times if you count the Disney Vacation Club points,
but I love those) I have a timeshare in the Caribbean and one in Hawaii that
I would like nothing more than to unload on someone that could use and appreciate
them. But when it comes time to sellmytimeshare it seems that I just don't have
the resources necessary. Here is what I did find out, however.
If it is time for me to sellmytimeshare the timeshare company is not going
to be any help at all. In fact they will just tell me to go to one of the other
companies that do sell timeshares, and what do those companies want? They want
to charge you a large fee, usually several hundred dollars, to offload that
timeshare for you. Then they will tell you that they probably won't sell it
for a year or more. Now this is your best bet, but what can you do in the meantime
to help curb some of the cost that you are currently paying for your timeshare.
Well, for me, when I wanted to sellmytimeshare I rented my timeshare every year
until it was gone. Then I took that money and applied it to my principal balance.
That helped me to defray the costs and to pay it off more so it sold more quickly.
